Summer is the season of adventure, sports, swimming, bike rides, and backyard fun. But with all that activity comes a greater risk of dental injuries, especially cracked. At East Atlanta Endodontics & Microsurgery, we specialize in managing dental trauma and are here to guide you on what to do if a dental emergency happens during your summer plans.
If You Crack a Tooth:
Don’t ignore it. Even small cracks can expose the inner parts of the tooth, leading to pain, infection, or further damage. If you feel sudden pain while chewing, notice a sharp edge with your tongue, or see a visible crack, contact your dentist or endodontist right away. Avoid chewing on that side, and rinse with warm water to keep the area clean.
As endodontists, we’re specially trained to manage traumatic injuries to the teeth and surrounding structures. We offer emergency care to help preserve your natural tooth and restore your smile.
Enjoy your summer, but stay prepared. Accidents happen, and when they do, we’re here to help.
